Learn what "Flegga" means... "Flegga" 's origin is a homonym mountain top at the National Park Valia Kalda, on the south of Pindos mountain range. There, next to the primeval forests and the clear waters, from spring till autumn, the flocks of sheep and goats, eat the pure grass, in order to obtain the nutrient-rich milk, from which high-quality cheese and dairy products are produced.

Flegga Creamery is set high on protecting Greek traditional cheeses and producing the most delicious, virgin Greek cheese flavours, always with the highest quality standards.

The company combines tradition with modernisation, resulting in invariably high quality and taste.
The name "Flegga" draws its origin from the mountain top Flegga, situated in the heart of the National Reserve of picturesque Valia Calda in south Pindos mountain range.
This land of virgin wild forests and pastures untainted by human intervention, from early spring to late autumn, is the pastureland of flocks of sheep and goats in order to produce their milk rich in nutritive ingredients, from wich the high quality Flegga products come from.
The Laitsos family, with a long-standing tradition in cheese production - the origin lingering in depths of centuries - has recently updated their dairy facilities and infrastructure in the village of Velestino, to be set as model in the dairy industry field.
There, in the traditional natural 'habitat', are produced the Greek cheeses of Flegga, with Protected Designation of Origin (P.D.O.)
